Frosting INGREDIENTS for 8 Cupcakes
125 g butter at room temperature)
125 gr of icing sugar
150 gr of dark chocolate
Tools used: Beater or planetary
To prepare the chocolate frosting, start softening the butter. Leave it at room temperature an hour or so before processing, do not use heat sources to heat it, otherwise you risk melting it and it will no longer be suitable for processing. Then put the butter in the bowl of a planetary bowl and work it with a wire whisk together with the icing sugar, until you get a cream.
While you are working, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave and let it cool (without hardening it again), then add it to the butter cream. Do not add the hot chocolate to prevent it from melting the buttercream. Always work with a wire whisk to incorporate it all.
Your chocolate frosting is now ready to be used to stuff your Cupcakes. If you want to add colour, once decorated with the chocolate frosting, put lots of coloured sugars.
